My Journey with Nonviolent Communication & an Invitation to Walk with Me
Content writer and Project manager
On my path toward becoming a Nonviolent Communication trainer, I’d enjoy contributing by sharing the practice with you!
My journey with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) began with a desire to address challenges in my relationships (with others and myself). I often found myself passively waiting for others to understand my needs, struggling with managing my expectations and expressing myself, and not fully engaging in the process of mutual understanding. I sought a better way to navigate these struggles.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a communication approach developed by Marshall Rosenberg that emphasizes empathy, honesty, and understanding. It helps deepen connections and resolve conflicts by focusing on understanding feelings and meeting needs. What truly captivated me about NVC was its transformative potential. I discovered an approach to express honesty with compassion, which allowed me to connect more deeply with myself and create space to empathise with others. Through learning to embody NVC, I started to actively take charge of meeting my own needs while fostering authenticity and empathy in my interactions.
If you're curious about NVC, I offer several ways to begin or deepen your practice.
